Artist Sandra Lynn

I have always loved art, but my parents were aerospace engineers, so doing art was not encouraged in our home. I became a Technical Illustrator and dropped out of college, continuing with my career for more than 25 years. I found some of my skills to be lacking when it came to organic shapes so I took figure drawing and other art classes. This changed everything for me. I finally felt like a true artist. My world opened up and Ive been playing ever since.

I love to learn new techniques and for this reason I find it hard to stick with any one thing for very long. I am going through a kind of metamorphosis, finding inspiration everywhere. My interests include antique restoration, leaded glass, costume design, and all kinds of art. I've also remodeled 2 homes. I love color and houses are just a bigger canvas. Plus it's fun to rip something apart and make it pretty again. I am currently in the process of building my own house. As the owner/designer/builder, I am learning so much. It's only a slight detour, a year, maybe more. It's still art and it make me happy.

So this website will focus on just my art so as not to confuse anyone.

"As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world – that is the myth of the atomic age – as in being able to remake ourselves."
